Changing port and network interface

By default, TradeTrax listens for incoming connections on port 1234 of the loopback interface. This means, it is not possible to access the application over the network.

If network access is desired, it can be enabled from the "File" menu of the application window by checking the "network access" checkbox. The port can only be changed by editing the java preferences directly and setting the "port" key to the desired value (please refer to the Java documentation for how this is done for your operation system).

Please note that network access is meant to be enabled in trusted networks only. TradeTrax currently does not include SSL encryption nor authentication.
